Wawa JVCo organized a relief effort in collaboration with the Provincial Social Welfare Department of the Province of Rizal with the support of Governor Rebecca Ynares. This is in response to reports that the Indigenous Peoples (IP) families need assistance during this pandemic. To ensure that our donations go where they are most needed, we coordinated with the Chieftains and Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMR) of both Montalban and Antipolo Ancestral Domains. We delivered sacks of rice and boxes of milk on May 13 & 15, and extended our relief efforts to the senior citizens and students of Sitio Casili, Inigan and Anipa on May 16.
This is the third time that our company conducted Covid-19 relief operations in the Province of Rizal. Similar efforts were also done last March and April as part of our commitment to ensure that the communities situated in the area are taken cared of during this trying time.
Our actions to this pandemic is guided by our value of caring – for our people and their families, our stakeholders, and more importantly, for those most in need in the project area right now.
