On the 30th of September 2019, the Department of Energy issued a certificate on Confirmation of Commerciality to Chico JVCo, a joint venture of Prime Metro Power Holdings Corporation and San Lorenzo Ruiz Piat Energy and Water, Inc.
The Confirmation of Commerciality (COC) signals the first step towards the implementation of the 150MW Chico Hydroelectric Power Plant with the target of having it operational within 5 years from the issuance of the COC.
